I posted my first fic on AO3! It's a Hunger Games fic (Hayffie, natch) and I'm excited to keep writing the chapters for it. Of course, I also want to write some X-Files stories, but it's been a little while and I wasn't feeling as inspired. I think I'm going to watch some season 7 or 8 later, because those seasons always make me feel inspired to rewrite certain episodes. I think a body swap fic with a time travel twist could be fun, like season 8 Scully and Mulder end up in season 1 or 2 Scully and Mulder's bodies or vice versa. I just love writing silly ideas lol
I am soooooo exhausted of university. Only one more week and I'll be free of exams etc, but that means now I'm struggling with all of them when I would much rather be doing pretty much anything else. I'm so tired! I just wish there was an easier way to learn everything besides studying and doing the same thing over and over and over again. Plus, all the libraries t my uni are packed so it feels so stuffy!
YOU GUYS. Sunrise on the Reaping was SO GOOD. I couldn't put it down even though I already knew what was going to happen and it still completely blew me out of the water. I will confess to being a Hayffie shipper in the old days, but I absolutely adored Lenore Dove and wanted to see more of her. She's rebellious? She's Covey? She's got everything (except for life)!
Also I'm still shipping Hayffie but not in the same way LOL. I had always thought that Haymitch was older than Effie and that they'd met when they were both twenty-somethings with very different outlooks. I like the idea of post-war Haymitch and Effie a lot though. That might be a fic idea that I could make with my new AO3 account.
I got my AO3 invite!! So excited. I haven't actually written anything, but I'll probably use it for bookmarks and so I can comment on and read fics that are archive locked. Hoping to add more fics to my library soon!
Big day: I actually went out to a music show. Originally I went because one of my friends asked me to, but then my friend dropped so I went alone. First band rocked, totally loved their set. The second one wasn't great, so I decided to go home. But I still had a lot of fun! It's cool to get out and do new things, even though this one in particular was scary.
Back at school which means it's time for me to procrastinate on all the lovely things I should be studying and instead update this page a little more. Every day we get closer and closer to the ideal deewantstobelieve.neocities.org. I'm excited to add the library because I think it will be motivation for starting to write my own fanfiction. I even signed up for an AO3 account (or an invitation to one? I'm not sure). It said April 1, so I think maybe my first (published) fic will be crack fic.
I love being also Canadian because my Canadian library lets me borrow ebooks and audiobooks and sometimes the wait time is a lot less than for my American library.

I am a silly little creature on spring break who decided that the best use of the night was to start making a neocities site with zero coding experience and a dream. |
